WDW Trip Advice

Hello Muppet fans!

I wanted to post this to you all because I know a bunch of you are also Disney World fans. So my family is headed to Disney for the first time in 12 years this April. My little sister (12) has never been, my other sister (22) hasn't been in 12 years and I haven't been in 7, so we're all pretty excited. The issue is my mother. She's not a theme park person, and after carting my sister and I to Disney 4 times when we were kids she really didn't think she'd ever be going back. But she IS going back (for us kids) and I want to do something special for her. Her 55th birthday is later this month, and I think it would be great if I gave her something fun and relaxing to do at WDW away from the parks and us kids.

She's a very particular person. She does not like massages (the easiest answer, I know) and she's not really a foodie. She's happiest when she's in her robe, drinking a Diet Coke. Her work is very stressful and I know a Disney vacation isn't the most relaxing trip you can take (understatement of the day) so I want to make sure I find something for her that is different than the hustle and bustle of the parks. Her favorite vacations are cruises, where she can just hang out on the deck with a book and suntan or hop down to the casino to play some slots.

So... do any WDW aficionados have any suggestions?? I would very much appreciate it!!!

Well...they do have Disney cruises. But there aren't any casinoes on them unfortunately. Cruises are very expensive (even the weekend ones) There's a couple of Disney hotels that have a beach motiff so your mom could enjoy that.A couple of water parks too. One that comes to mind is Blizzard Beach. But I'm sure your mom wants to relax instead of hear screaming kids around the pools.
If you want to take your mom on a cruise look for discounts. Good luck!
