The fact that they all came at once does help me diagnose the issue. Alex reported a similar issue earlier today as well.

I just made a couple changes to how e-mail notifications are sent out. Things should be better now, but continue to let me know if you have any problems. The nofications may not arrive immediately, but it should be within a few minutes of the post, not several hours.
