University of North Dakota gets new nickname

The University of North Dakota, whose athletic teams were formerly known as the Fighting Sioux until 2012, now has a new nickname: The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks.

My alma mater, Montclair State University, did the same thing. Being the Indians was deemed offensive, so the Red Hawks were born.

I wonder how long Notre Dame will hold out...
