So $500 wasn't the right price. Can I ask the more experienced sellers for their opinions, please?

Personally, I think it was a fair price for these guys. Sometimes it takes more than one auction to find the right buyer, try it again with a "make an offer" option. If $500.00 seems too high to a potential buyer, they can then send you an offer to consider.....and good luck!
