STYLE: MID 2ND SEASON(CIRCA CLEO LAINE EP)

Cold Opening

Scooter(opens door):Louie Prima? Louie Prima? 15 seconds to curtain, Louie!
Louie(scatting): Shoobedy dop dop dabba do dah bah bah bah boo bah shabba do dah... Oh, hey, Scooter. Just warming up before I go on.
Scooter: Oh, that’s fine. So, Louie, how do you like the Muppet Theater?
Louie: Oh, I think it’s swingin’. Though, I did notice a large bag full of money laying near the steps backstage.
Scooter: Oh, okay, Louie; thank you for telling me. I’ll get Kermit to look into it. Meanwhile, you keep warming up.
Louie: Oh, you bet I will. Wah nonna nonna wahn noh noh noh wah noh wah noh zoo ran zoo ran zoo ran. (Just then, George the Janitor pops his head through the door)
George: Sheesh, ya call that music? Hi-dee hi-dee ho; now that’s music!

Opening Theme

Gonzo: blows trumpet, bubbles come out

Opening Number: Scooter and some Muppets sing "Up On The Roof" on (you guessed it) a rooftop.

Backstage: Kermit is notified about the bag of money while Fozzie tries to use it as a prop, Gonzo tries to take some, and Piggy assumes it’s all for her.

Muppet Labs: Oxygenated Steak Sauce. Beaker pours some on a steak and it floats in the air before it even touches the steak.

Song: Louie sings "Yes, We Have No Bananas"

Backstage: Scooter makes a call to J.P. Grosse to see if he dropped the money off.

Song: Louie sings "A Banana Split For My Baby"

UK Skit: A Whatnot in a rain slicker sings "Raindrops(Falling From My Eyes)" in a rainstorm.

Song: Piggy sings "I Fell In Love With Love"

Pigs In Space: Louie plays a mechanic repairing the SwineTrek while making fun of Piggy’s weight. When she reaches her limit, Piggy promptly pulls a lever and sends Louie down through a trapdoor.

Backstage: When all of their resources have been exhausted, Kermit still doesn’t know where the money came from. Just when he’s about to have one of his famous meltdowns, Louie comes down from his dressing room and tells Kermit that he sent it to thank Kermit for letting Louie have such a good time.

Closing Number: Louie sings "Just A Gigolo"

Why yes, I don't know why I didn't check this out before. I love Louie Prima!
:sing: But leaving all that money as a thank you in advance? Louie, you are, as I like to say sarcastically, a man of faith!

Yeah, that's a good point.

One little format thing- perhaps Louie's first number should be the 2nd on the bill, after the first backstage scene? That's how most episodes went, esp. in the second season- opening number, backstage scene, guest star.

I'd like to see the characters grapple with the money more throughout. You mention it in the first backstage scene, but perhaps it'd work better if you spread it out, one character in the first backstage scene, one in the second, one in the third. You could start with Fozzie, since he's in the opening number, end with Piggy since she's in the two sketches before the closing number, and have Gonzo in the middle.
