(The title appears on a calendar, with "Volume 7" circled in red)

(Big Bird is standing in front of 123 Sesame Street)
Big Bird: Hello. Right now, I am about to go to Looper's Store. Hey, I've got an idea! I wil count how many more steps it will take to get to Dooper's Store! (counting each step) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. It took me seven steps!

(cut to the following skits: The Alligator King, The Count counts 7 flowers, Mad Painter #7, Song of Seven, and Seven Days)

Mr. Hooper: Did you enjoy your birdseed milshake?
Big Bird: Oh, yes I did. Thanks a lot!
Mr. Hooper: My pleasure.
Big Bird: By the way, do you know what day today is? I forgot.
Mr. Hooper: Today is thursday, Big Bird.
Big Bird: Oh, that's good to know. And did you know that there are seven days in a week?
Mr. Hooper: Yes, yes I did. And I know somebody who knows each day of the week.
Big Bird: Yeah, Roosevelt Franklin.
Mr. Hooper: Uh, right, but I was referring to myself.
Big Bird: Oh.

(cut to the following skits: Roosevelt Franklin's Days of the Week, Sesame Street News: Don Music writes Mary Had a Bicycle, and the cartoon with night bright-like effects spelling words that end with "en")

Biff: Sully and I are about to have our lunch.
(Sully nods his head)
Biff: We are having maceronni and meatballs for lunch, marshmellows for dessert, and milk to drink.
(Sully nods, and then is about to talk)
Biff: (interrupting) Hey, Sully, did you know that everything that we are eating begins with the letter M?
(Sully nods)
Biff: Another M word is monster, and here are two of them.

(cut to the following skits: Mmmmonster Meal, "Never invite an M to dinner", and Herbert Birdsfoots M poem)

(Gordon is holding a letter M, showing it to several kids)
Gordon: Hey, kids. This is the letter M!
Kids: Cool!
Gordon: M stands for words like martian, and magnifficent, and marvelous, and Muppet, whatever that means..
(Oscar pops his head out of his trash can)
Oscar: M also starts the word mud!
Gordon: That's right, Oscar.
Oscar: Wait a minute, you....
Gordon: Yep, minute is also an M word.
(Oscar groans and goes back into his trash can, slamming the lid hard)
Gordon: M also stands for monster.
(Herry Monster shows up)
Herry: Hi, everybody.
Kids: Hi, Herry.
Gordon: Hello, Herry.
Herry: Oh, that's a mighty magnifficent letter M you've got there!
Gordon: Thank you.
Herry: May I hold it?
Gordon: Okay, but be careful.
(Herry grabs it, but accidently breaks part of it off, making it look like an N)
Gordon: Oh, no!
Oscar: (popping out of trash can) Oh, yes! No is an N word.
Herry: I am sorry.
Gordon: That's... that's okay.
Oscar and Herry: Okay?
Gordon: Yes, we were supposed to teach you the letter N, too.
Herry: Wonderful!
Oscar: I'll teach some N words. There's nasty, and never, and no, and.....
Gordon: Oscar, don't go any farther.
Oscar: Okay, I won't. (goes inside his trash can)

(cut to the following skits: Alphabet Bates makes an N, and Typewriter Guy: N)

Maria: And now it's time to teach you the alphabet.
The Count: And I will count each letter.
Maria: A, B, C...
The Count: That's three, three letters!
Maria: D, E, F....
The Count: That's six letters!
Maria: G...
The Count: That's seven letters, and seven is todays number!
Maria: H, I, J, K, L....
The Count: That's twelve letters!
Maria: M, N...
The Count: That's 14 letters, and todays letters, too!
Maria: O, P, Q, R, S....
The Count: 19 letters!
Maria: T, U, V, W, X, Y......
The Count: 25 letters!
Maria: Z!
The Count: 24 wonderful letters! A ha ha! (thunder and lightning strikes)

(cut to the following skits: Here is Your Life: Oak Tree, Julius asks Jasper why he is holding one leg in the air, Kermit and Professor Hastings demonstrate body parts, Grover and Oscar recite the alphabet, Ernie shows his emotions at a movie theater, and The Count and Cookie Monster cooperate in counting and eating cookies)

Big Bird: Well, it's almost time to go, but before I go, I have to go to see a play.

(cut to: The Life of a Butterfly)

Big Bird: Well, now it's time to go. But first, Sesame Street has been brought to you today by the letters M and N, and by the number 7.
