(The title appears on a place, while the words "Volume 6" appear on a spoon)
(Big Bird is standing outside of the Fix-It Shop. Luis comes out of the Fix-It Shop)
Big Bird: Hello. Welcome. I am hungry, and I am going to eat very soon.
Luis: Why don't you eat right now?
Big Bird: Well, I am waiting for my best friend, Mr. Snuffleupagus, to join me.
Luis: Big Bird, if you wait for Mr. Snuffleupagus, you'll never eat. (leaves)
Big Bird: Oh, yeah! Well, he'll be here! Just wait and see! Oh, he just went into Hooper's Store.
(Mr. Snuffleupagus walks up behind Big Bird)
Mr. Snuffleupagus: Hello, Bird.
Big Bird: Aaaahh! Oh, it's you, Snuffy. Well, are you ready to eat?
Mr. Snuffleupagus: Yes, I am.
Big Bird: Okay, then.
(Big Bird and Snuffy walk to Hooper's Store. They stop when Big Bird sees that the inside is full, and Snuffy just stands behind Big Bird, out of view from the people inside Hooper's Store)
Big Bird: Oh, it looks like it's full in there. I don't think we can fit in.
Mr. Snuffleupagus: It may be full, but I'mm definately not.
Big Bird: Don't you know the difference between full and empty?
Mr. Snuffleupagus: No.
Big Bird: Well, here is a demonstration.
(cut to Kermit's milk lecture)
Mr. Snuffleupagus: That was a great lecture. I wonder if we should eat somewhere else if the inside of the store is full.
Big Bird: Maybe we could, but where could we eat? I don't see Willy or Mr. MacIntosh around.
Mr. Snuffleupagus: There are other places to eat at, Bird.
(cut to the following sketches: Fat Blue can't make up his mind on how many bacon and eggs he wants, and Ernie cleans the apartment in less than 15 seconds)
Big Bird: Well, Snuffy, I think I'll... (notices that Snuffy has laft) Uh, Mr. Snuffleupagus? Where did you go?
(Maria, Olivia, Susan, and some other people leave Hooper's Store)
Olivia: Who are you talking to?
Big Bird: I was talking to Mr. Snuffleupagus.
(everybody moans)
Big Bird: He was just here, but now he is gone.
Maria: I am having a very bad day, Big Bird. I do not want to hear about that Snuffleupagus!
Susan: Yeah!
(they all leave)
Big Bird: Oh, well. I can still eat at Hooper's Store. You know what they say, everybody eats.
(cut to the following sketches: Everybody Eats, Ernie and Bert share pizza and grape juice, and Cookie Monster goes to the carnival)
(Big Bird is inside Hooper's Store)
Luis: Well, Big Bird, did your imaginary friend show up?
Big Bird: Yes, he did, and then he left before we could get in.
Mr. Hooper: That's because he is not real.
Big Bird: Oh, yes, he is.
Mr. Hooper: Anyway, what would you like for lunch?
Big Bird: A bird seed sandwhich, and something that begins with the letter L.
Mr. Hooper: Why?
Big Bird: Because lunch starts with the letter L.
Luis: Luis also starts with L, but please don't eat me.
(they all laugh)
Big Bird: Letter also starst with L.
(cut to the following segments: L is for Lunchbox, La, La, La, and Alphabet Bates makes an L)
(Herry Monster is looking up in the sky)
Herry: Wow, that is a great L up in the sky. (walks around Sesame Street) That is a great stairway. And that is a great street sign. (an alarm goes off) And that sounds like somebody robbing a bank! How terrible!
(cut to: the cartoon where Batman and Robin give a lesson in street safety as they try to capture the Joker)
Herry Monster: Well, Batman caught The Joker. That's good to know. I know another great superhero. His name is Super Grover.
(cut to the following sketches: Supergrover gets his haircut, I Want a Monster to be my Friend, and Lefty attempts to sell Ernie an empty box)
Oscar: I have an empty box, too!
Olivia: Oh, really, Oscar?
Oscar: Yes, it's right here! (points to the box on the crate next to Oscar's can. The box has a 6 on the cover)
Olivia: That's a good-looking box. And that's a six.
Oscar: So?
Olivia: Six is a number.
(cut to the following sketches: Pinball Number Count #6, The Count counts Ernie and Bert's blocks, Six Snails, Kermit counts Twiddlebugs, and The Queen of Six)
(Olivia is about to take a group picture, with Big Bird, Gordon, Susan, Linda, Luis, and Mr. Hooper posing)
Olivia: Okay, everybody, smile!
(Everyone smiles)
Olivia: Good, good. Now, Gordon, get on the opposite side of Susan.
Gordon: Okay.
Susan: Come over here, Gordon.
Olivia: And Big Bird, I think that you should get behind everybody.
Big Bird: Right.
Olivia: (uses sign language) Linda, you should move to the left.
(Linda moves to the left)
Gordon: Will you just take our picture?
Olivia: Okay, everybody say "cheese" (Olivia uses sign language for "cheese")
All: Cheese!
(Olivia takes the picture. Everyone cheers)
Olivia: The picture wil be ready soon.
Luis: That's good.
Big Bird: Of course, you don't have to take a picture. You can paint one, too.
(cut to the following sketches: Ernie paints a picture of Bert, Alice braitwaite Goodyshoes demonstrates shorter and longer, Sesame Street News: The Pied Piper, and Ernie and Cookie Monster talking about hope)
Rodeo Rosie: And now it's time for my favorite western hero, The Great Cookie Thief!
Maria: Uh, Rosie...
Rodeo Rosie: Yes?
Maria: The great cookie thief is not a hero.
Rodeo Rosie: He's not?
Maria: No, he's a robber. Robbers are not heros.
Rodeo Rosie: Oh, thanks for setting me straight.
Maria: You're welcome.
Rodeo Rosie: And now, here is that dirty robber, the great cookie thief!
(cut to the following sketches: The Great Cookie Thief, Ernie doesn't think he's special, I Am Somebody, and Me)
Luis: Well, it's time to go now. But before we go, I'd like to remind you that Sesame Street was brought to you today by the letter L and the number 6.
