I liked the brief interactions between Alan and Gladys.

It looks like she may be here to stay. She was on today's show, as well as in the opening (Partial funding of Sesame Street is provided by...)

It looks like a lot of old characters get ressurected over the years...

In 1993, they brought back Frazzle, who was previously thought to be too scarey for kids (he was written to be softer, and more child like)

There was a point in the 90's where Sherlock Hemlock seemed to be in a few sketches.

Last year, the Amazing Mumford appeared in quite a few skits.

Not to mention the Two Headed Monster, who came back back last season, and appears in Journey to Ernie....

So Gladys may be here to stay... cool!:zany: :excited:

I was wondering the same thing. I remember Richard's Gladys voice very well. She had a really good "cow" accent. (By the way, did Richard's Miss Piggy sound something like that? I still have yet to hear his Piggy voice, but I'm getting off subject.) Anyway, I am wondering if Jennifer's Gladys sounded like Richards or if she had a different voice.

It's hard to discribe, but I shall do my best...

It's basically an imitation of Richard's Gladys, only with a woman, making it sound much more feminine. it's quite similar, and somewhat different at the same time.

Thanks. I think I can imagine how it sounded now.

Richard's Piggy did sound like Gladys sometimes, particularly when singing "Temptation".

I never thought of a "cow" accent, but Richard did use it when playing cows on TMS. My favorite was in the Bernatte Sills skit, where she wanted Kermit to book "Madame Buttermilk."

The woman mentioned is also currently the voice of Cleo the Lioness on Between the Lions.
