Does anyone else remember The Official Sesame Street 2 Book-And-Record Album? It's a big sing-a-long comic book to go with album. It's all the way from 1970. I had it new as a kid and now I have it old as an adult.

It's really cool, although it's rather disjointed. The book begins and ends with the Sesame Street characters taking a bus to and from Sesame Street. (Now why would they need to do that if they live on that street?) Also, the characters singing in the book don't match most of the characters singing on the album. The pages say, "copyright Festival Attractions" in the right corners, whatever that means.

Of course, I absolutely love it, inconsistencies and all. Honestly, those were the days of the real Sesame Street by the CHILDREN'S TELEVISION Workshop. Ah, memories...

Warner Brothers put out a nice book and record with Sesame Street 2, but in my opinion it pales in comparison to the first Sesame Street book and record put out by Columbia/CBS. The Muppet illustrations in Sesame Street 2 are nice though. I think Bob was left off of Sesame Street 2 due to contractual reasons with that one being produced by Warner Brothers.
