Announcer: Coming this christmas: Buy Me Elmo, the new toy from Sesame Workshop, the non-profit organization for kids that is formerly known as Childrens Television Workshop, and Tyco, the profitable toy company for kids that is currently known as Tyco. And now here is Proffessor Muffet with how the toy works.

Proffessor Muffet: Buy Me Elmo has a battery that detects when a customer is in a store. The battery has a sensor, not to be confused with a censor, that knows when there is a human shopper present. We've seen special sensors to all stores so that employees and employers can put them in their name tags so that it will know not to detect the workers. Anyway, once people shop and get near the Buy Me Elmo, the toy will go wild, beggin people to buy it. Once it is scanned at the check-out line, it will stop. And now, I will put it in the shopping aisle, next to Palisades Sesame Street action figures, to show what happens.

(a shopper goes to the aisle and starts looking through palisades figures)

Buy Me Elmo: Buy Me!

(the shopper ignores him and buys the action figures)

Buy Me Elmo: Buy me! Buy me! (starts going wild) BUY ME BUY ME BUY ME (starts shaking, knocking other toys off the shelfs) BUY ME BUY ME BUY ME... (the shopper takes the toy to the check-out line, where he has to wait behind five people with large amounts of merchandise) BUY ME BUY ME BUY ME BUY ME... (the screen says "six hours later...) BUY ME BUY ME BUY ME... (the toy get's scanned and paid for) Thank you! Give Elmo a dollar!

Proffessor Muffet: So buy Elmo, buy Elmo, buy Elmo I beg, and if you don't buy Buy Me Elmo I'll bite off your leg! Now, let's put eighteen Buy Me Elmo's on this shelf over here.

(there are now eighteen of them. Oscar walks past them. They all start fidgeting and beggin people to buy them, knocking each other over)

Oscar: Finally! A toy that begs for itself, heh heh heh! (observes them begging to be bought) And it's even more fun if they don't get bought!

I think it's hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's funny, but untill today I have never even visited this section. But after exploring it and finding out what it's all about, I think I just may have found the perfect place to take out all my little "Elmo Frustrations" without having certain people always ready to jump down my throat for saying something "bad" about the little red menace!!!!!!!

I think that story was awsome, minor muppetz! You have a great flare for writing. (and I'm not just saying that because you wrote something against Elmo) Keep up the good work!

That was pretty funny and how true for when Tickle me Elmo came out..Elmo use to bug me like mad but then I saw an interview with Kevin Clash and when he did the voice I laughed so hard. I mean here is a big man and with a high pitched voice coming out..it is rather funny..so now when I see Elmo I can see Kevin..Plus I decided one day to watch Elmo in Grouchland which is a funny movie, I love the music, and Kevin Clash did an amazing job performing so since then Elmo isn't really annoying he's just a really hyper four year old.
