I’ve managed to obtain access to digital copies of the UK TV Times magazine which has the TV listings for ITV - I should make it clear that there were different regional editions for the various ITV franchises.

Anyway, what I’ve discovered is that some of our thoughts on what happened with TMS in the UK have proven to be incorrect. Things I’ve discovered include the episode which was omitted in London, that one other region only aired 23 first season episodes (and it’s not the same one that London missed) and that one region might have played the same first season episode twice in three weeks.

Okay, now we have two dates for the Linda Lavin episode. Sigh! I think the earlier date is wrong as one of the Scottish newspapers has that week being Beverly Sills.
