The Muppet Music Game!!:

Fairly simple concept. All ya do is take a string of lyrics (that DOES NOT include any portion of the title of the song) from any Muppet song and post it. Then, others guess what song it is from. Whoever gets the song correct posts the next set of lyrics. Specific rules:

1) Make the sting a decent size (somewhere between 7 and 15 words). Just posting 'the' will be a bit boring. Use the slash key (" / ") to break up entries that are more than one line.

2) Make sure the string is enough that you yourself would be able to guess the song. 'la la la dah la la' isn't really specific enough.

3) If a good post goes for more than 15 guesses without a correct answer, it is retired, the answer is revieled, and the poster gets a rousing round of appalause from all the players.

4) When answering, please be specific with the title, and if you can, put in some extra information (ie. what show it was from, what album it might be found on, who sings it, whatever you happen to know about the song).

5) When you enter a string that begins in the middle of a line (which is acceptable) make sure it still gives enough to make sense of it. Also, when it is in the middle of a line, use 3 periods (" ... ") as an indication.

6) Famous Muppet/Performer duet songs don't count. Use you're better judgement on distinguishing them (Like, Elton John's "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" would not be accepted, even though he did perform it with Miss Piggy on TMS).

...so with that said, I shall start with a rather eary one:

"What a dance, do they do / lordie how I'm tellin' you / they don't need no band..."

As always, I will personally moderate the post. BEGIN!

Okay my turn:

Maybe a base will join me to fill the bottom in.
and maybe some lead guiter so it wouldn't sound so thin
I need some drums to keep the beat, and help me keep in time.
and way off in the distance, a horn would sound sublimel.

"Six-String Orchestra," performed by Scooter (with help from the Electric Mayhem) during the Mark Hamill/Star Wars episode of The Muppet Show

Now try this on for size:

Pick me up and lay me down/and spread the news all over town/and tell 'em all to come/or they'll be sorry...
