Does anyone remember a skit that went throughout the show with I believe the title "A boy, A girl, and (some, not sure) Jellybeans. It was kinda scary i think and it involved Prarie Dawn, Farley, and cookie monster. Can anyone help me with this faint memory, i remember loving this skit.

Thanks a million,
Nelson

Nelson, yes this is one of my favorites as well. The skit was actually in three parts with animation bits typically shown in between the story. It's also in the 1971 Sesame Street Storybook. The last time I actually saw it on the show was during the early 80's.

Don't forget, it's also included in serial form in the Sesame Street Library's volumes. This sketch was recently featured as the article of the day at Muppet Wikapedia, which I highly recommend all Muppet fans visit.

I found that ancient old book at my mom's school library years ago. The girl in the illustrations looks more like an early Betty Lou than Prarie Dawn.

By the way, does anyone know when either of those two became named characters on the show, as opposed to just generic AM little girls?

I thought I read that Beautiful Day Monster was the monster in this story, though in the book version, Herry Monster was the monster.
