I was reading through the remarkable Sesame Street episode guide today at Muppet Wiki. They have a complete 3rd Season episode guide there. It seems as though the first 1/3 of that season they had a new place called "The Lending Library" that new cast member Maria worked at. It didn't last long at all and by episode 330, the Library moves to a new location (probably the same location it was during the 80's and 90's) and Luis and Rafael opened up the Fix it Shop. I noticed there was a few episodes early in Season 3, that probably inspired the idea for the Fix it Shop. Like an episode that has David fixing toys for some kids, and an episode where Luis takes his alarm clock to be repaired. Does anyone remember the first episode with the fix it shop? Or some early Fix it Shop memories? Also, when did Maria start working there? Was it at the beggining of the 4th Season when Rafael left the show?
