I haven't seen a topic about this and wondered if you got the news here. Target will not be taking the BT Gonzo exclusive. No reason why. I guess they just didn't want it. He will now be replacing Mega Camilla as the con exclusive. Mega Camilla will now be a club only exclusive. Gonzo will be 15 dollars through the club and at the convention.

Bad news that Target isn't taking the exclusive (maybe it has something to do with them deciding to keep the Kooz Kermit thing going) but good news for the club and its members. I hope they manage to get some kind of advert on the box art for Mega Gonzo saying they can get Camilla by joining the club so the membership increases even more. I guess thats probably the plan. Normally i'd say that Tux Gonzo (like Tux Bunsen and Beaker) aren't the most attractive figures to put out at a convention but considering Adventure Kermit will be there too it'll mean a bit of variety for every taste.

yeah, what's the story???

Yeah, what's the story with the Koozebane repaint??? Did they think that because it was so ravenously successful as an exclusive, that it would be even better with miscolored koozebanians and a Kermit with a powder blue shirt??? Bollocks.

Basically you can''t offer the exact same figure from series 4-7. Only so many will buy it. Something had to change.

The repaint was origanly intended to keep customers interested in the Muppets line durring that long wait between series 6 and 7.

KK repaint was released in order to actually fill order slots, or shipping slots, in the Target ship schedule (they take little amounts at a time of their whole order in small waves) and that was to fill some gaps. Them getting more KK repaints was their idea...we decided to repaint it becuase its age was making it a bit stale as Wiggy said.

(Luke...good to see you...wondered what happened to you...)

I'm a jerk...

OK, I realize now how inflammatory my comment could be percieved. Again, I think I posted my item about KK repaint a without thinking. The Bollocks line was aimed at my upcoming hunt fr this figure. If it's anything like the original, I will be chasing it down for 2 months, finally buy it on ebay for 20 bucks and then find it at my Target, abundantly supplied, 2 days after opening it. I actually like the repaint of the Kermit himself and maybe having a little different colored Koozebanians...

I know I can come across inflammatory, I did my homework and found out that I have been seen that way at other boards as well as here. For that I apologize. Let me state here first, that unless I use pseudo-profanity, odds are I am joking. I'll tryand be more thoughtful since you guys and gals have been more than helpful and friendly and deserve better than what this gritty codger has to offer as far as manners are concerned. HAHHAAH...

Anyway, sorry if that seemed like a slam. I was going in another direction with that one.
