Has anyone heard if Tales from Muppetland will be on DVD at some point?

If I remember correctly, there were 3: The Frog Prince, The Muppet Musicians of Bremen, and I think one based on Cinderella that had a cute white dog and some sort of monster who thought "reddish" was "radish"...

:halo:

Hi... Welcome to the craziness that surrounds us here at MC.
1 The special you're thinking of is titled Hey Cinderella!
2 The dog was named Rufus the Hound, and appeared in The Muppets Valentine Special in a segment with Mia Farrow as well.
3 The monster you're thinking of is named Splurge.
4 No, I don't think these will be released on DVD any time soon. Of course, that's not to say they won't ever be released in the future, near or distant, but I don't think they will at this moment.
However, talk to the forum member known as KermiClown who has all three of these and can help you get copies if you contact him.
Hope this helps and have fun exploring the rest of the forums.

Welcome to MC, Countesslumiere!
Yeah, this subject very common on these boards. I'm not so sure whether the Tales From Muppetland have ever been released on DVD... officially, anyways.

Here's a thread I made a while ago in case your intrested. It's 'bout TFM DVD's and there's a link to a site I found which I *think* sells them...

Hope this helps!!

I guess they no longer classify Emmett Otter as a Tale from Muppetland proudction, then.

I always thought it was, even though The Muppet Musicians of Bremen, The Frog Prince and Hey Cinderella! were all released around '69,'70,'71 and Emmet Otter's was in '77. I never thought it would make a real difference though, y'know? And when I read 'bout TFM productions and JH books and stuff they never classify Emmet Otter as one...

I don't know what the official word is, but I never heard of Emmet Otter being included in the Tales of Muppetland series. ::shrugs::
