Does anyone know the exact process for how they build Miss Piggy's head? I assume her body is stitched together similarly to every other Muppet, but I know that her head is sculpted somehow. Do they have a mold that they pour into to build it, or is it snipped foam (man, that would be tedious!)? I've been on a curiosity kick lately regarding Muppet assembly, and I figure this would be a good place to ask around.

They used to carve her head from a big block of foam. Nowadays, they have a mold for foam rubber (?) and then they use a technique to glue some flocking to the puppet head. They now do the same for Statler and Waldorf, Bunsen Honeydew, and others whose heads used to be carved from foam.
