I posted these to my Twitter, and thought I'd share them here too.

Here are too nice interviews published by Starlog Magazine in the summer of 1984 -- one is with Jim Henson and one is with Frank Oz. They were done around the time of The Muppets Take Manhattan, but they talk about a whole lot more than just that film; and they got a few neat behind the scenes pictures. Enjoy!

A lot of the info was cool. It's interesting how in the Jim Henson one it's mentioned that Henson planne don a new childrens series, comparing it to Sesame Street. I wonder if that show mad eit. I don't think it was referring to Muppet Babies or Little Muppet Monsters. Also interesting that Jim referred to Sprocket as Spot.

And it's interesting that Frank Oz mentioned that Muppets Take Manhattan almost didn't have musical numbers, and I think this article mentions that MTM didn't have many "how did they do that?"-type sequences. I was thinking the other day about how that movie (and Follow That Bird) didn't really have many of those.
