Here's yet another outline for "Sesame Street 2.0". As is tradition, I'll post the thread that inspired this: http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/...eet-to-target-older-audiences-directly.50795/
Scene 1
Maria has made some fresh baked cookies for everybody, but worries when the first person to come by is Cookie Monster, aware that if he has her cookies first, nobody else will. But then she's surprised when Cookie Monster turns down the cookies. Cookie explains that he learned how unhealthy cookies are and has decided to give up cookies once and for all ("and feel free to tell press. this time it not rumor.") Oscar then asks for some cookies, figuring if Cookie Monster turned them down, then they must be appetizing to a grouch.
Inserts:
Scene 2
Everybody is surprised that Cookie Monster has given up cookies. They are then surprised to see Cookie Monster with a plate full of candy canes. Cookie tells them that if he's giving up cookies, he must have a new favorite food, and candy canes won out. As he eats like crazy, they try to tell him that candy canes can be just as unhealthy as cookies, but Cookie won't listen... he's too concerned with finding more candy canes.
Inserts:
Scene 3
Cookie Monster keeps eating candy canes non-stop, but he soon gets a bad tummy ache. Gordon decides to take him to the hospital.
Inserts:
Scene 4
Cookie Monster has decided that he's now going to give up candy canes. Acknowledging that he doesn't remember having any health problems with cookies in the past, he decides he'll go back to eating cookies.
Inserts:
Scene 5
Bob notices that the newspaper headlines already report that "Cookie Monster Given Up Candy Canes!" Oscar and Bruno show up, and Oscar reveals that he planned it all along: He wanted Cookie Monster to like cookies again, so when he heard Cookie was craving candy canes, he arranged for Cookie to eat some Grouch-brand candy canes, which would make ANYBODY (who's not a grouch) give them up quick.
