Spare Animal Thread for BaudGirl

Greetings from the Count! Sorry to disappoint you, BaudGirl, but I don't have an extra EM playset with extra Animal figure in my possession. The plan was that I would buy it and then contact Gorgon Heap to set up the purchase, but he got his own EM set while waiting for my reply. Don't think I'll buy a spare EM set cause I'm looking into another big playset possibly to help my chances over at the Second Muppet Contest being hosted at the Palisades Forum. That is unless, you might happen to have some sort of castle-like playset that you'd be willing to trade, i.e. the Wayne Manor BatCave playset. If so, then drop me a line and we might do some business. If not, then I'm sorry to give you the bad news. However, there might be another forum member who has a spare Animal figure and is willing to either sell or trade with you. Hope this helps and have a good fright.

It's cool, Count. I'm sorry I don't have anything castle-like to help you out. You might want to try something in the Harry Potter line. Best of luck with that. By the way, what is the Second Muppet Contest?

So I guess the word is out that I'm looking for a loose Animal minus the EM stage. I do have the Simpson mail away Cooder and Sinclair to trade and various others, Muppets included. I also have a spare kidney for the serious collector.

If it helps, you can get 'Tour Animal' bu joining the collectors club, going to a convention or looking on Ebay. He's just a slight variant and looks fantastic !

Yeah, I considered that, but I wanted to give this a try first.

If my fiancial state improves soon, I may just join the club. If Tour Animal is given as part of the sign up package, then I certainly will. But if he isn't then I'll be paying the twenty dollars to sign up and then another twenty to get the only figure I really want, so I may not.

Ebay is pretty hopeless in term of a reasonable price. I'm sorry,as great as Animal is I can't reason spending the equivelent of several credit card payments on one figure. This economic downturn has gotten me right where it hurts.

If I find one, I find one, and if not I will survive...

You could try asking someone who is in the CC to buy you an extra one. members are allowed to buy 2 tour animal's so if you could work out a trade or simply pay them I'm sure someone would be willing to do that. I think The Count is in the CC so maybe he'd do this for you.

BaudGirl, the thread for the Second Muppet Contest is over at the Palisades forum. Basically, it's a photo contest to show off our displays of the entire Muppet figure collection including S1, S2, and S3 in whatever form or fashion our displays have taken. Gotta have at least one of the 14 figures released so far in the display, variants could count if you don't have the regular versions, and mint packaging figures count too. BTW: The sign up fee for a 1-year membership in the Palisades club is $30.00 (US dollars), not $20. While I am part of the collector's club, a lot of us are and could do you the service of getting the spare Animal figure. Just talk around the forum and see if other members can either sell, trade or buy you the extra figure. Don't want to seem to be a little heartless in this regard, but I'm gathering steam for my contest entries. Talk to you guys later.

Sorry Count. Almost as soon as I typed that I went back to the Palisades forum and saw the thread for the contest.

I had no intention of asking you to purchase a varient Animal for me specifially. It seems kind of a big favor to ask someone since they went throught the trouble of signing up and I'm just leetching off. But who knows, I can be very very shallow if I put my mind to it .
