I know since they were both performed by Jerry Nelson, and because they are both full body costumes, and since Snuffy's was known as Big Bird's imaginary friend, it would have been literally impossible to put Snuffy and Sam together in a scene. But I always thought it would be hillarious to see these 2 together. Because when Sam does his famous repeat line "Machines are Perfect, are perfect, are perfect" Someone used to always whack him on the mouth to stop him from repeating himself. Wouldn't it be funny to see Snuffy take his big long snuffle and whack Sam in the mouth so hard that Sam goes flying, and crashes into something and yells "Wooooooaaaaaahhhhhh!" I guess I could probably only picture them together just one time, doing that routine. But it would be very funny. Also what about Herry? He was known to break things back then, and he could whack Sam in the mouth too hard and break him where he doesn't move or talk anymore. This could make Herry really nervous and he would be scared that one of the other adults would find out what he did to Sam, and he could spend the whole episode trying to fix Sam, and when an adult comes by, trying to hide the fact that he's broke.

it would be funny if Sam saw Snuffy, but then right before telling the adults, some kind of memory chip explodes in his head, causing him to forget all about seeing Mr. Snuffleupagus.

I have seen a group photo of the cast in Big Bird's nest area, and in that photo, Mr. Snuffleupagus was standing right behind Sam The Robot.

I never understood why they got rid of Sam The Robot. It seems like they could have done so many more plots with him, especially in this day and age of computers.

Did you ever see the episode about the water shortage on Sesame Street? It was a bit disturbing that Dr. Nobel Price's rain making machine bore a striking resemblance to Sam's body.

I agree. I've never seen Sam when he was on the show, so it would have been great to see him in later episodes. I wonder how he would have interacted with Elmo or any of the new characters. He should make a come back. I don't think Jerry would still perform him, but if they could find a new puppateer to wear the full-body costume, they might be able to bring him back.
