Does anyone remember this story from the early 80's?

Maria wanted to go to Hooper's store, but there was a powerful windstorm out that causes her to get blown back. About 3 adults (Can't remember who) came to help push Maria to the store, but the wind was too strong for them. Then Big Bird came along to help push, but not even he was strong enough to walk through the wind. Big Bird wishes Snuffy were here, but they just groaned and didn't need his imaginary friend right now. Luckily Snuffy did come and he got behind Big Bird and helped pushed them through the wind. They wondered how they were suddenly moving for they weren't looking behind at who was pushing Big Bird in the back. Then at the end, when Big Bird and the adults stepped out of Hooper's store, the strong wind decided to change direction and they were having the same problem again. Luckily, Snuffy returned to help them push and the adults didn't turn around once again.

That is very funny. It would surely have to be an exaggeration of course. At least I've never had a wind strong enough to hold me back so I don't know how probable it is.
But it seems to me that a wind really that strong would surely have blown Maria and the other adults off their feet let alone prevented them from walking ahead in it.

I remember that episode, and yes winds that strong are a little bit unheard of.
I live in the midwest where we don't have any big hills, or mountains to block the wind, save for the trees, or buildings but I will tell you this sometimes when the wind picks up to 50 or 60 miles an hour it makes walking a challenge, and driving on open roads is a pain in the kester.

Wow Xerus! Another great Ultra Rare Sesame Street memory. That sounds like a really awsome episode, but unfortunatley, I didn't get to see it. It must have been right before my time. I do however remember an episode from around 1985 when Snuffy blew Oscar and his trashcan right off the ledge and Oscar landed on the ground and even the lid of his trashcan was cracked. This was during the time right between when Oscar first met Snuffy, and the Adults met Snuffy. Do you remember this one as well?

Thanks for the comment.

And no, I don't think I remember that episode you mentioned. I must've missed it.
