Okay, everyone knows that for years, until the mid eighties, Big Bird and the human children knew that Snuffy was real and the human grown-ups didn't. But, what about the other muppets? Did they know about Snuffy? The history of Sesame Street actually has some contradictory information on this subject. There was one street skit that clearly implied that Grover did not believe in Snuffy. He had the hiccups and thought that Snuffy was one of Big Bird's costumes to scare him out of it. Big Bird sighed, "Even when they see him, they don't believe in him." On the other hand, there was another street skit where Bert bumped into Snuffy and they had a conversation as if they had always known each other. Also, on the record album, "Havin' Fun With Ernie and Bert", the "Marching Song" has a line that sounds like it was sung by Snuffy, implying that he was together with the big group of Muppets, including Grover. And of course, Elmo clearly knew about Snuffy since he held him still on the day that all the grown-ups found out. Any other info?
