Here are some things I think The Jim Henson Company and The Hanna-Barbera Company have in common.

They both made cartoon history.

They were both bought by company's (like Warner Brothers and Disney).

They had voice actors like Mel Blanc, Daws Butler, Don Messick, Frank Oz, Dave Goelz, Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt.

Most of us grew up on there shows.

The Muppets are like The Flintstones and the Jetsons.

They have crossovers (Like the Flintstones Meet The Jetsons and A Muppet Family Christmas).

I agree with you. I always like to compare HB characters to Muppets.

Kermit is like Yogi since they're leaders.
Gonzo is like Huckleberry Hound since they're both friendly and blue colored.
Fozzie is like Snagglepuss since they both like performing on stage.
Robin is like Boo-Boo because of their little kid innocence.
Miss Piggy is like Cindy Bear because they're both madly in love with the leaders of these shows.

Hmmm. Yes but there is also a great big difference between Cindy and Piggy.
As far as I'm aware Yogi has never been physically abused by Cindy. I don't believe it's in her nature to be so violently bad-tempered like Miss Piggy.
