here's my question. Captain Kangaroo was on CBS for most of it's run. and while i saw BBM on WTTW Chicago and perhaps other PBS stations carried it, to my understanding it was actually a syndicated series apparently over the years sometimes a PBS station would pick up a series witch wasn't distributed by the Public Broadcasting System. my concern is because of this, we'll probably see commercials witch means commercials in between the old PBS shows. of course i guess that's better than nothing at all.

Many of the old tv shows on DVD have the commercials still in them, as some of them are part of the show. When you are going down memory lane some times the commercials are just as fun to watch as the show
