Hi all!

CBC Television's ZeD has been shortlisted for a Gemini Award for "MOST POPULAR WEBSITE". The Gemini is the Canadian equivlent of an Emmy and this is the only award catagory where the public can have any input.

ZED is an innovative TV show/web site that provides a completely open, accessible medium for filmmakers, animators and artists to express themselves on national television here in Canada. They even have a cool puppetry "channel" on their site (click here to see it)

Check out their site at zed.cbc.ca.

All the details are in this message they sent out today:

The Geminis have announced their top 10 finalists, and now the real heat
is on. We haven't cared about anything this much since the
"Save Futurama" petition.

YOU MAY VOTE ONCE PER DAY PER EMAIL ADDRESS! Here's how:

1. Go to http://www.geminiawards.ca/gemini18/mpw.cfm
2. Hit the "Click Here to Vote" link.
3. Place your vote.
4. Forward this email to 10 friends (or enemies - we're not picky)
asking them to do the same.
5. Remember to return and VOTE AGAIN EACH DAY BETWEEN NOW AND OCTOBER
18TH.

The winner will be announced during the presentations of the 18th Annual
Gemini Awards on October 18th, 19th and 20th.

All eligible voters will automatically be entered into a draw for an
Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television prize pack to be held
October 30, 2003.
