Does anyone remember watching a show called Shalom Sesame? I remember watching it and instead of Big Bird, they had a large porcupine. Also I think the regular cast of Sesame Street would make cameo appearances from time to time.

Wasn't there an episode where Oscar made a cameo appearance and helped his cousin disguise a letter of the Hebrew alphabet?

Show 5- Jerusalem:

Bert and Ernie go bananas over a phone (1969)
Little Jerry & his Monotones sing "Mad" (1970)
Two Anything Muppets sing "Me & Yo" (A girl sings in English while a boy sings in Hebrew) (1971)
Also, there was the Jazzy Spies #6, I seem to recall....

>>Why was Shalom Sesame canceled?<<

Cause it really wasn't a show! It was a series of specials, soo there were basically 2 weeks worth of programming (Mon-Fri) one series was made in 1988, and I think another was made in 1992.

This was probably made to teach kids about the country, since there was a lot of violence in the area at the time, and it was brought up on the news so often.

What other Sesame segments appear on the episodes, besides the Muppet segments?
