I haven't had the time yet to build me a new puppet...i hope i get soon. However, i did experiment with some shag furr the other week. I tried to sew together a pattermn with shag, but the pike got stuck in the seem. It looked very ugly. I didn't have time to experiment some more with it so i never came up with a solution. I used a sewingmachine. Should i have sewn by hand?

Maybe buck can answer this?

I think you have to have a very, very good machine to sew shag fur properly...I haven't ever tried on an industrial machine, but I imagine that would do it. I usually just hand-sew shag fur.
