Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop visit Sesame Street, but Lamb Chop is too shy to meet anyone. Big Bird enters and Shari teaches Lamp Chop nice things to say when meeting someone new. They all sing How Do You Do. Lamb Chop and Big Bird become friends! Sooey the Pig enters but does not want to talk to them. She thinks no one will like her since she is a pig and can only oink and roll in mud. Big Bird and Lamb Chop cheer Sooey up and teach her the alphabet. Sooey is so inspired by Big Bird that she dresses like a bird so people will like her. After her new friends discourage becoming a bird to make friends, Sooey tries to become a lamb like Lamb Chop. Big Bird, Shari, and Lamb Chop help Sooey gain confidence and realize she is Perfect as a Pig and they love her just as she is.
