What is your favortie Sesame Street time period? Depends. I liked SS because it was the best way to combine reality with fantasy. However, I couldn't stand it when it became too "cutesy-cutesy" and fairytale-ish (ie
: Abby Cadabby). But I'll know a GOOD moment when I see one. But hey, even from the starting point there have been several "bad" moments like today
Who is your favorite monster? Cookie Monster, Two-Headed Monster
What are your favorite SS songs? I Love Trash
What is your favorite Anything Muppet type? Cant decide
What's your favorite recurring sketch? Cant decide
What's your favorite SS game show? Anything with Guy Smiley
What's your favorite episode of Monsterpiece Theater? Cant decide
What's your favorite Sesame Street News report? Cant decide
Who are your favorite Jim Henson characters? Ernie, Guy Smiley
Who are your favorite Frank Oz characters? Cookie, Bert, Lefty
Who are your favorite Jery Nelson characters? The Count
Who are your favorite Richard Hunt characters? Cant decide
Who are your favorite Fran Brill characters? ???
Who are your favorite Martin Robinson characters? I always like to hear him do Telly because for some reason I keep picturing Weird Al Yankovic in my head :stick_out_tongue:
Who are your favorite Kevin Clash characters? Bunny-err...I mean BENNY!
Who are your favorite David Rudman characters? I dont know
Who are your favorite characters from other performers? Oscar the Grouch
What are your favorite animated segments? I'll know a good one when I see one, but I didn't like the stuff from the 90s (ie: We're the Number 1)
What are your favorite non-Muppet live action segments? Hard to tell
What are your favorite Ernie and Bert segments? ALL E/B sketches
What is your favorite recast? Cant decide

What are your favorite Count sketches? I don't know
What are your favorite Elmo's World segmnets? I don't like Elmo's World that much
What are your favorite Elmo segments? Elmo isn't exactly my favorite. I'm not saying that I hate him---he's alright with me, but I just don't like 1) the fact that "Elmo's World" has eaten up the last chunk of the show and 2) the ambiguous commercialism
What is your favorite Kermit the Frog sketch? Any Kermit sketch is good
What's your favorite Ernie song? Rubber Duckie
What's your favorite Bert song? I dont know
What's your favorite Grover song? I really liked the "Monster in the Mirror" music video that had the celebrities in it (especially the Simpsons!)
What's your favorite Big Bird song? Everyone Makes Mistakes, The Sound of the Letter A...I guess any song by him.

Follow That Bird or Elmo in Grouchland? Hard decision. FTB had the street look more "real", and had more celebrities, plus a hilarious plotline; EIG...I don't know. It was okay, and Mandy Patni(cant spell his last name) did a fantastic job playing Huxley

Okay, I just made up my mind about the previous questions I left undecided...

#4: Orange, green pointy

#5: Mysterious Theater, Criminal Capers

#7: Cyranose DeBergerac

#8: The one where Little Red Riding Hood is being chased around the house by the wolf, and they have to wait for the woodsman to drop in. He does, but when he states that he "chops down trees"...

*Richard Hunt has done so many great characters. But I'm gonna go with either Forgetful Jones or Don Music

*Fran Brill, same. But I have to say that the one I'm not really crazy about is Prairie Dawn. She was too well..."giddy" if you know what I mean.

*I like when David Rudman does some Grouches

*I like most of the vintage early live pieces. Those were like works of art. Well, some were just kinda pointless (see "A Walking Tour of Sesame Street", and you'll see the answer to that there)

*Favorite recasts? All. Plus, it's good that they have recasts. The original performers can't just keep on doing them FOREVER.

*I like just about anything with the Count. He's another favorite.

*"Doin' the Pigeon" (the spoof on MAD TV was funny)

*Unfortunately, NEITHER the # of the day or letter of the day. I mean, I like Cookie and Count, but just not the segments.

And alluding to the first question, Sesame Street is GOOD when...

*It's more "realistic"---set on a "real" inner-city street, populated with real people who teach, sing with and hang out with this army of creatures who were "beyond real"

*None of this "fairy tale/nursery rhyme/magic" (C-WORD) like lately

*No "baby stuff" (ie: Natasha. Grr...I just cant stand her. She's annoying. Same with Curly Bear)

*There was no such thing as the "main/central" character. A LOT of people would be assuming that it was Big Bird, or Elmo. But the truth was, it was NOBODY. Everyone had equal roles. Well, The Muppets were mostly the big thing, but they and the human actors got 50/50 of the show. So in general, it was a split between the two groups.

*Oscar is a grumpy guy

*It had more comedy

*That SS wasnt just about "monsters" (ie: Monster Clubhouse)

*Ernie and Bert had chemistry
