According to Tough Pigs, the album Sesame Street Platinum: All-Time Favorites has been selected by The Library of Congress for entry in the National Recording Registry.

When thinking more about Platinum, I've wondered if all the songs had been on platinum albums somehow (if the singles/45s weren't platinum, but I'm pretty sure nothing from the late-1980s and beyond had been released as a single). According to the Muppet Wiki listing everything had been released on a previous album (which is more than can say about the track listings for Platinum Too).
