I have been trying for MONTHS to get a copy of any or all episodes of Sesame Street Goes to Hawaii. I know they exist. If PBS/Henson/CTW, etc. were to release it on VHS or DVD, I would buy it in a heartbeat. But, they haven't, so I need to find copies another way. I'm trying, but having no luck.

I really have nothing to offer in trade (accept one episode of Muppets Tonight, the first episode, good quality, commercials, beginning and end credits) except appreciation and payment for tape/shipping.

I saw SS in Hawaii when I was very very small. I've seen only a bit of one episode since then, on SS Unpaved. I am desperate to see this group of episodes again, one, any, or all.

If you can help me, PLEASE reply to this post. I do not have private message capability on this forum, so you will have to reply here. Or, you can send me an e-mail at eloramoonjajs(nospam)@yahoo.com, just take the (nospam) out of the address before you send.

Thanks,

Elo

I have #1093 and #1094, which they're taped from Noggin, but they both have the white Noggin logo and a commercial break, which I got them from MuppetDude.

Read your other message. I've got #1092, #1093, and #1094. I may be able to trade and receive the other Hawaii episodes, so please be patient.

Mikealan & Muppetdude

Mikealan, thank you so much for your offer. It looks like Muppetdude still may be working on this with me, but if for some reason he and I don't connect again I may look for you.

Muppetdude, thanks for the reply. I'm sorry for being impatient. I didn't know you were still waiting on more episodes. I'm not even sure how many there are in total.

I'm getting e-mail notifications with every post to me, so if possible, please post to me here to contact me. Or, eloramoonjajs(nospam)@yahoo.com minus the nospam.

If you can't end up finding the additional episodes, I'll take what you've got. Thank you very very very much for working on this for me. My inner three year old is eternally grateful. I still remember the song they sing about the mountain that looks like Snuffy. Can't wait to see it again.

Take care,

Elo

The Hawaii episodes are a little weird. A whole lot of time is eaten up by hum-and-strum hippie bands outside of Buffy's teepee. (And why is Buffy living in a teepee? Is the cost of housing in NY really that much higher than Hawaii that they couldn't afford housing?)

The Hawaii episodes do have a lot of good stuff in between the Hawaii sequences, so I spend a lot of time hitting the fast forward button.

(Actually, the scenes with young Maria in a bathing suit aren't too bad... )

re: weird

Hi!

Yeah, I remember the Hawaii episodes surprisingly well, considering I was under the age of four our five when they originally aired. I caught the last 15 minutes of one of the episodes on Noggin once, but was unable to see more than that.

I think what I'm most nostalgic about are all the scenes involving the kids and the legend of the mountain that looks like Snuffy.

Can't wait to see it again!
