There was an old skit where Big Bird went into Ernie and Bert's apartment and put his head through their ceiling. I haven't seen this skit in over 25 years and I don't remember a lot of the details, but it was Ernie's idea to bring Big Bird in. This action was met with numerous protests by Bert saying, "Ernie, you can't bring this bird in here!"

P.S.-I'm amazed so many characters were there, it seems so quiet in that apartment usually.

I believe that Sully's appeared in Bert and Ernie's apartment too. There's a picture in Of Muppets And Men of Jerry, Jim, Frank and Richard in the set for Bert and Ernie w/ The Count, Ernie, Bert and Sully. (The same pic is at scarecroe's Back Stage...Left site)
