Hi folks -

Having various materials around from my previous puppet adventures, I'd like some advice. Has anyone used Sculpt Or Coat to coat and stiffen bare foam? I don't want to waste the Sculpt Or Coat I have (not a great deal) by messing this up. Anyone willing to help walk me through the process?

Thanks,

Beth

I used it to make a Toucan Beak, I like the way it turn out.

It does however soften considerble in heat.

It does dry relatively quick. and you can color it with acrilic paints.

here some photos:

Toucans

Thanks for the reply, my first coat is drying. I put a layer of liquid acrylic paint on first to coat some of the pores, now am painting and starting the Sculpt Or Coat process.

The toucan puppets are gorgeous, how many coats did it take to get the beaks that glossy?

Thanks,

Beth

I think about three, I acually started with the sculpture coat and then mixe acrillic paint with scuplut or coat to make the design let dry and added a couple coats on top of that letting each coat dry in between.
