Scred in every segment

Did anyone notice that Scred was the only Gorch character to appear in every segment? Why is that?

A combination of Scred being a great character and occasions where Jim/Frank would have to attend to something else (such as making The Muppet Show a reality)

Yes, Jerry Nelson has said repeatedly that Scred is one of his favorite Muppet characters that he ever performed. Quite remarkable considering Scred's short lifespan and all the other characters he performed for more than 30 years.
