Are there any particular Sesame Street scenes that you've either seen pictures from or really short clips of (like in a clip montage) that look interesting, but you don't really know what they are about? In the case of many clips we only see a few seconds in a montage, not enough to inform us of what's going on.
Some of the clips that I'm really curious about:
Some of the clips that I'm really curious about:
- That Cookie Monster clip that was in the "Being Green" Youtube trailer, in which Cookie is apparrently yelling next to Oscar's can (and it looks like he's actually choking himself). I have once read about a scene where Cookie Monster wanted a cookie and are Oscar's trash can lid because it was round... Could this be it?
- A Rooseveklt Franklin clip seen in Sesame Street Unpaved, where he talks to his mom about a time he couldn't spell. I think this is a song... Long ago I read about a song called "Roosevelt Franklin Spells His Name", and figured this was it. But then recently somebody at Muppet Wiki obtained some detailed program guides for season two episodes, and it turns out that that wasn't the clip in question (though I guess they could have redone it). According to that description, "Roosevelt Franklin Spells His Name" was a rare occurance in which Roosevelt appeared on the street, in a scene related to the plot (Oscar opens a mail delivery service), and interracted with one of the humans (Susan, though I guess that's not too different from his mother).
- A clip in the Big Bird montage in the 20th anniversary special, in which Big Bird comes across a "One Way" sign.
- Another clip that appears in the same special. It's in the openign montage, in the section that shows various scenes where the cast show shocked looks on their faces. One shows Luis and Maria having dinner out. Maria is in a red dress, Luis is in a tuxedo. And I think there's a Muppet behind them.
- And yet another clip seen in that special, a clip in which Grover faints at his restaurant. I know it's not the alphabet soup sketch (the table cloth is different).
- A short clip seen in the A&E biography, featuring Bob, Oscar, and Bruno. Oscar asks Bob "How long have you known me?" I guess Bob was surprised at something about Oscar, but I can't figure out the context of the line, unless that was Bruno's first appearance.
- Finally, there's a few pictures in the 40th anniversary book of Bert and Brad. One shows Brad wearing a hat, and the next shows Bert holding the hat revealing Brad's hair. I have a feeling that this might be Brad's first appearance, and maybe Bert and Brad were doing a "same and different" demosntration.
