Rowlf: Hi, I'm Rowlf, and welcome to The Muppet Show Music request Show, hosted by me, Rowlf. Today, we are finally at season five of The Muppet Show, one of the best seasons ever. I have just gotten a special feature in my labtop where I can get video e-mail, so I might get some video e-mail requests. And now, here is Robin to introduce the tope five most requested songs.
(cut to the swamp, where Robin is sitting on a tree stump)
Robin: Thank you, Rowlf. I have surveyed a lot of people, and now here are the top five songs. One of them is a song that I sang, but unfortunately, it's not number one.
(cut to Another Opening, Another Show, Rockin' Robin, Car Wash Blues, Friendship, and In The Navy)
Rowlf: Thanks, Robin, and now here are some of my favorites.
(cut to Ghost Riders in the Sky, When I Grow Too Old To Dream, and Tippy Tippy Tim)
Rowlf: I am now taking your requests.
Gonzo: Hello, Rowlf, will you do me a favor and play two of my favorite fifth season songs?
Rowlf: That depends on the songs.
Gonzo: (sarcastically) Very funny. Anyway, I'd like you to play There Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens and Danny Boy.
(cut to Gonzo's requests)
Pops: Hello, Rowlf. I would like you to play It's Been a Long, Long Day by Paul Simon.
Rowlf: I couldn't agree better.
(cut to Pops' requst)
Rowlf: And now.... (alarm goes off) Oh, it looks like I've got some video e-mail.
(the e-mail is from Miss Piggy, who is in front of the eiffel tower)
Miss Piggy: Hello, Rowlf. I am in paris with my dog, Foo Foo.
Foo Foo: (popping up) Woof!
Miss Piggy: Anyway, Moi would like it if vous played Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me, starring Moi and Mac Davis.
Rowlf: Well, thanks for the e-mail, I think.
(cut to Miss Piggy's request)
Kermit: Hi ho there, Rowlf.
Rowlf: Hiya, Kermit.
Kermit: Could you play Blue Bayou with Linda Ronstadt? I was locked in a trunk when she performed that number.
Rowlf: Sure.
Kermit: And could you also play The Rainbow Connection with me and Debbie Harry? Oh, and can you play Baby Driver?
(cut to Kermit's requests)
Rowlf: And now here is Dr. Bunsen Honeydew with the top ten most frequently asked questions I get about this show.
(cut to a laboratory)
Bunsen: Question number one is "Will there be a complete first season DVD set?" Well, the answer to that is unknown at the time. Question two is "Did you get the rights to any of these songs?", and the answer is simply that before each epsiode, we figured out what seasons we wanted to represent, and got egal clearances for all songs just in case somebody requested them. If someone didn't request a song, then we didn't have to pay, but we did get video rights too. Question three is "Is there any reason why the season one request episode didn't have any of the songs that were cut from The Muppet Show Season 1 DVD set?", and that answer is yes, there is a reason... nobody requested them. Question four is "Who's your tailor? I love that outfit". Well, I don't have a tailor, I use machines. Question five is "Why wasn't Hugga Wugga requested?", and that answer is because nobody wanted to request it. And questions six, seven, eight, nine, and ten are, "How come nobody requested Java, What Would You Say?, Who, Eight Little Notes, or Cottlesone Pie?" and the answer is "see the answer to question five". And now back to you, Rowlf.
Rowlf: Thank you, Bunsen. And now I will take my next caller.
Louis Kazagger: Hello, can you play I Feel the Earth Move with Lorretta Switt?
(cut to Louis Kazaggers request)
Sweetums: Hello, that last song is one of my favorites, too, but will you now play Me and My Gargoyle?
(cut to Sweetums' request)
(alarm goes off)
Rowlf: Oh, I've got another video e-mail.
(it's from Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem)
Dr. Teeth: Hiya, Rowlf!
Floyd: We are getting ready for our concert in las vegas.
Janice: The slot machines are, like, really groovy.
Zoot: I won 2,000 dollars and bought a new saxaphone.
Lips: Oh, yeah!
