I remember watching one of the BTF livestreams years ago, and that was actually my question: why did Rosita lose her wings. Matt and Carmen said it was a logistical thing that as far as merchandising, illustrations, and the like were concerned, the wings just made the character look "too big" and they were eventually just dropped (though a more playful answer was that she lost them during monster puberty, lol).

I saw an article about this on ToughPigs and wanted to see if we had anything about it. We do, unfortunately.

The concept of a Rosita with wings in the new age is great for 90s kids who remember them, less so for those who grew up with a wingless Rosita (I, for example, was born in 2004, the same year they were removed). I’m not looking forward to this.

Aww I loved her wings and was kinda bummed when they were removed. I wonder why they’ve returned after all this time.
