Hey, guys. I just lost "The Cosby Show: Cliff's Nightmare".

Every moring I tape "Animal Jam", but I am taking a break this week. So I left the VCR on a different channel, but my VCR INSISTS on taping "Animal Jam" so it tapes over "Cliff's Nightmare", now I have to wait another 2 years before the shows it again.

It was just on a couple weeks ago, I got it on tape. It's the best Cosby Show episode ever (for obvious reasons  ) Does anyone know why Jim Henson and Frank Oz didn't perform any characters in that episode?

Jim was Ill during taping I believe, and Frank was starting his downward spiral on not performing.

From what I understand, they made this episode during the taping of Muppets At Walt Disney World (some one once told me) so only the available performers (Dave, Richard, Fran[?], Kevin and especially David Rudman) performed during the episode.

As you would note, the characters usually switch off a few times during the episode. David Rudman plays Sweetums (At least his voice) as Richard was busy with the "disagreeable sandwich" The Hypocritic Oaf switches from Kevin Clash to (?) David Rudman as soon as the scene just before Leon (apparently from my understanding they wanted a lot of stuff done on one take). The only real time you see any of Dave's characters is during the Big operation in which he plays Gonzo, then Digit.

Other than that, there's a lot of performers not used much, and Jim and Frank were very busy with MAWDW, so there is a lack of popular characters.

of course, this is just what I've come to understand...

I recently recorded this episode off Nick At Nite, so if you'd like to maybe set up a trade, just e-mail me. Thanks, and take care.

Well, plus it was a nightmare and having Miss Piggy there along with all the monsters (which is what virtually every Muppet in the special was) would be kinda out of place.

Thanks for the info guys. One of the funny parts was when it showed Cliff in a little Waldorf get up when Statler was saying something. LOL!

You know, I'm not sure now if I ever saw this episode. I've heard so much about it that I can imagine myself seeing it, but I think I maybe didn't. And I'm a big fan of the Cosby Show too. Bill Cosby rocks! Oh, well, I'm sure I'll see it one of these days.
