Growing up, the human characters on SS had lots of great interactions among themselves. They were a family. They were my family. They spoke with us, not down to us. I don't get that feeling anymore.

There's still some of that, but so often these days you only see one human at a time. It's ONLY Gina, or ONLY Maria...it's never Maria and Luis or Gordon and Susan anymore...just one human and one or two Muppets. So it's hard to get that "family" feeling across.

I totally see what you're saying. I'd say it's due to budgetary concerns.
