First let me start by saying i am new here, and a really big fan of the muppets, fraggle rock, and sesame street. So forgive me if this has been asked a million times over, but i am just curious, what happened to Snuffy? He just sort of, disappeared.

Hi and welcome to Muppet Central. Uh... Snuffy hasn't disappeared. He's featured with Big Bird in Big Bird-centric episodes as they're best friends... Snuffy even had a couple of episodes in Season 36.
He's voiced by Martin P. Robinson now, maybe your question is more along the lines of why is it that Snuffy as originally voiced and chiefly performed by Jerry Nelson different from the present version?
Just trying to help... Have a good day.

Snuffy is new some of the newer episodes always with Big Brid.

But I remember hearing about how the powers that be on Sesame Street were going to drop him because they think he's too scary for kids.
