Hey I have a question... I have this idea for shooting a regional commercial for a construction company (just an idea though, I still need to pitch it to my partner in crime and then the company itself). I need two puppets for this. And they are supposed to wear construction helmets and perhaps even have some tools in their hands or something. I want to use childrens toys for this because of the convenient small size and it's very cheap aswell when I can buy it second hand.

So I found these 'Little Tikes' helmets for really cheap already. But I don't know if I can just use these things without getting into trouble with copyright laws etc. Ofcourse I would hide or replace the original logo with something else. But still... I just don't feel like having to make every little thing myself when I can just buy it in the store for less money even. But I can imagine that using Bob The Builder toys for instance would be too obvious and that could get me into legal troubles. Then again I wouldn't be so dumb as to use such familiar merchandice for my puppets.

Can anyone give me any more info on this? Even if I don't go through with this idea I would still like to know for future events.
