Question about Telly Monster

Telly Monster is my second favourite from sesame street, does anyone have build telly monster and is telly is made from sheet or blocked foam?

I think that Telly is a foam head just to give the head shape and then covered with a very large piece of fur. I think that constructing a 1/2 inch skull out of sheet would be the best.
