question about sesame street to mainsteam muppets

i was wondering if there are any other caracter ideas that started on one show and then was picked up by another. the one i see is symore the elephant elevator operator. and that caracter on sesame street with the song the elephant elevator operator. I was wondering are there any other's like that.
