Question about Muppet Treasure Island DVD...

Hi all,

I own the 2002 DVD of MTI, but it's full-screen and I prefer widescreen presentations.

Was the 50th anniversary edition, which came out I think last year, done as widescreen? Or did it have any new bonus feature content that the previous release lacked?

The 2005 DVD of MTI (Kermit's 50th Anniversary edition) does contain a widescreen version of the movie as well as a pan-and-scan version. The menus with Gonzo and Rizzo are also retained. Unfortunately, none of the bonus features are ported over for the newer DVD. There is one mockumentary feature on Fozzie that has no relevance to the actual movie and isn't that great. But I'd pick it up just for the sake of the widescreen transfer, but hold on to the 2002 DVD.
