In the middle of the Monsterpiece Theater segment "Chariots of Fur", there is music playing. Is this music from Chariots of Fire, or is it completely original?

Also, is the opening music from the Miami Mice segments the actual Miami Vice theme, or original theme music?

I just want to make sure that the music from these segments won't prevent them from ever being released on DVD. Of course, in the case of Chariots of Fur, the music could probably be repalced. If there aren't any clean music-free copies in Sesame Workshop's archives then I wouldn't mind part of that sketch (the parts with Herry talking while the music plays) being edited.

If the Old School sets continue and continue with featuring season premiers, then Chariots of Fur should be included in volume 3 (and also volume 4). I hope that segment won't be cut form the releases. That's one of my favorite Monsterpiece Theater segments. And I hope that one of the Miami Mice segments will be included as a bonus sketch.

Before Sesame Street started having celebrity singers parody their own work, they usually had their music department compose a new theme tune that sounded similar enough for viewers to get the reference. "Chariots of Fur" and "Miami Mice" both had that similar-but-original theme music, so they probably won't be cut in Old School Volume 3.

I think Miami Mice began after 1984, so it wouldn't be on Old School Volume 3 anyway. I've looked at the Muppet Wiki pages for those season premiers, and it's not mentioned in any guide. Of course, the page for the sixteenth season premier doesn't say anything about what's included (just the fact that it's the only season premier from the first 20 years to not be shown on Noggin... and I think it premiered a year or two later anyway), and the last three premiers that will probably be on Old School Volume 4 are actually complete (all Noggin edits known), so if Miami Mice is included in Old School Volume 4, it will most likely be as an extra.

But thanks for the information that I asked about!
