Hey guys,
PuppetBuilding.com is a new site that has the humble little goal of collecting virtually everything you could ever know about building puppets - everything from foam puppets to animatronics to puppet crafts for kids - all in one place.
At the moment it's divided in to two main sections:
The Puppet Building Wiki is a new, collaborative project to create an online encyclopedia of free, open and accessible puppet building knowledge, tutorials and patterns for all types of puppets (this grew out of the "open source" puppetry idea that's been discussed here before). Much like Wikipedia, the site's open format allows anyone to create or edit any article, so anyone who wants to contribute can help achieve the project's goal - creating the most comprehensive database of puppet building information in the world. If anyone here would like to help out and share their puppet building knowledge, information, tutorials or patterns you can help out by editing an existing article or starting a new one.
The Puppet Building Blog is the second part of the site, which will be updated several times a week with puppet building news, information, tutorials and resources.
