Another great opportunity to pick up some puppetry skills, this time in PA...

Renaissance Artist Puppet Company has an opening for an intern for 2004. This position is a 20 hour a week commitment. Regular schedule Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm. The remaining 8 hours will be worked out based on availability and studio work load. Interns will work in the studio and in the field. Renaissance Artist Puppet Company works with many styles of puppets, so you will learn about building and manipulating, Rods, Mouth and Glove puppets, Shadows and hybrid puppets. You will be involved in the refinement of productions already produced and also in the development of two new performances. Requirements: Dependable transportation, some artistic training (3 dimensional and 2 dimensional) and a willingness to try new things without reservation. These are plusses but not necessarily required: Some Theatrical technical training, Some drama and vocal training and some dance. Please e-mail résumé's in word doc or adobe page maker. Feel free to call for additional information or with questions. 610-630-4259

I've had a few informal dealings with Liz Evans (the Artistic Director) and she seems like a great lady. You can check out their Web site at http://www.RenArtPuppetCo.com for more info.
