Hey Guys,

I am trying to put some ideas down for a community talent show this fall. I plan on having some of my puppets host it and be in it. But I was looking to everyone to share some things that they have done or seen that was really funny or something that they just remembered from a talent show. I am ust brainstorming and all help is helpfull.

Thanks
Randy

There are a few ways you can do this. If the puppets are going to be competing in the talent show, you need to make sure they don't win. Its kind of unethical for them to be hosting and possibly walking away with a prize. My suggestion is to make the skits go totally awry like they did on the Muppet Show. Also, you should try something really cheesy and over the top.

How about some puppet critics in the style of Statler and Waldorf? They can critise the acts. Then you could either have a gong that gets hit when enough of the act is seen and you dont want to see any more, or you could have a full costume character come out carrying a big hook and drag the act off stage with the hook.Or, you could use both methods and alternate them. They could get the gong or be dragged off,or if they dont finish after the gong, they could be dragged off with the hook!!!
