I apologize in advance for being this rude, and I hate to be the guy that comes on your forum just to find out what something is worth, but there is no information anywhere on this item and I am seriously late on some bills. I don't know if this is a one of a kind, I just can't imagine there being that many of them. It appears to be a prototype/mock-up of the 2003 plush w/dvd's.

1st pic - front package view (notice it says collectible with 'video'...is it weird that it says "The" Muppet Babies on the bottom?)

2nd pic - back of packaging (showing fake barcode and 'sample picture' placeholders for the others in the product line)

3rd pic - close up of the fake barcode and copyright

4th pic - close up of the pasted on Muppet Babies logo on the front

If any of you could help me out I would really appreciate it...if not, I totally understand.

Thanks,
Matt

The Miss Piggy Plush looks EXACTLY the same as the Baby Miss Piggy made by Rainbow Toys in the UK during the 80's. Maybe they just sat her in it for illustrative purposes.
The Kermit plush on the back looks like trhe McDonalds Christmas Kermit?

Hope this helps.

I was thinking that the Piggy looks EXACTLY like the Hasbro Softies Piggy that may have been put in the box.So, it appears that the only approval sought was for the box concept and the Company was probably going to give away plush from a warehouse source of left over Stock from another company(s).:wisdom:

Because the plush is still attached to the display box, I never noticed any tags before. However, I just dug around behind it and found a "Hasbro Softies" tag from 1985. Looks like muppetperson had it right and it isn't a prototype after all, and the box was the only concern for them.

Thanks for your input everyone! Now I just have to find out how much a packaging mock-up like this goes for...any ideas? I'll probably just list it in the next couple of days and take what I can get, but if anyone can tell me a good minimum I'll at least know where to start.

Let me know if you want a link to the auction when I do post it (I've bugged you enough and don't want to rudely use your community for advertising as well), otherwise I'll leave you be. Thanks again for your help!
